Acts of Kindness in the WordPress Community

Ryan Bell has created a site called WPKindness that is devoted to sharing acts of kindness that have taken place throughout the WordPress Community.  You can report an act of kindness by visiting this site and submitting through the submissions page.

Jeff Chandler of WPTavern is concerned about the ethical and monetary implications of including an affiliate link to the company you are submitting about.

The only problem I see is with number three “You understand wpkindness.com might use an affiliate link to the company you are submitting about.“ I am torn on whether this is good or bad.

Mixing monetization with WordPress Community generosity is a mixed bag, don’t you think? Do you have concerns over something like this?
