WordPress.com Site Stats Help You Track Visitors to Your Site

They love you. They really love you! Or do they? How do you know? Site Stats.

Site Stats is a feature of WordPress.com and Jetpack WordPress Plugin that gives you information about your WordPress site visitors and statistics.

WordPress.com Site Stats tells you how many visits your site is getting, where in the world those visitors are located, which posts are the most popular, who is referring your site, tags and category data, top authors, and more.

How to Access WordPress.com Site Stats

Access may be found by hovering over the category Dashboard on your site. A menu will pop out which includes the option site stats.

WordPress home page screen shot of menu bar.When you hover over it a number will appear that shows the average numbers of visits per hour your site has had in the last forty eight hours (as you can see in the example the number is 22). If you click on the graph it will take you to the Site Stats page as well.

And finally it can be access by hovering over your site name in the menu bar. It appears when you are logged into WordPress and visiting one of your sites. When you hover over the name a menu pops down and Stats is a menu option.

What Information Can You Find at Site Stats?

Now that you know how to access the Site Stats, let’s take a look at what kinds of data is available. The graph at the top of the page shows the number of views and visits to you site in the last day, week, and month. There is also a drop down menu in the top right corner of this screen that lets you switch between the different sites that you have access to.
