Choosing the right WordPress Theme for your site can be difficult. But with a few easy steps, you can easily choose the Theme that works best for you.
The number one thing that you should be worried about is does this Theme work with my site?
For instance, if you are looking to make a site for your corporation or business, you might look for something a bit more sleek and modern. If your site is promoting your daycare center, you might look for something more fun and colorful.
Once you have narrowed your choices down a bit, the next step is to make sure all of your content displays the way you want it to with the theme that you have selected. this includes post formatting, headers, colors, etc. If you don’t like it, consider manually editing or or choosing a new theme.
You can technically use any theme for any type of site, because themes do not actually change the content. The only things that they should change is functionality and the look of the theme. Themes can even add things like extra widget areas, sliders, and page layout. However, a lot of other functionality can be added with plugins.
Make sure that you always choose functionality before looks. If your site has all your content in the right area but the colors are off, you can always change that, and it is much easier than trying to change the functionality of the theme.
